So I am so excited, and actually I just can’t hide it. (Yikes, that was a bad song reference) But anyway, I’m very excited because tomorrow is our first Visit Day of the Fall! We are welcoming 118 wonderful families onto our campus for the day to share with them how amazing our campus really is. I’m a little sad because this is the first year I won’t be able to give tours at the visit day. But for those of you who are coming to the visit day, I’ll be at the registration tour, so please say hi and tell me how much you love my blog Ü. Beyond getting ready for the visit day, I’ve just been keeping busy. My classes are all going really well. Right now one of my favorites is Child Study Center. It’s a psychology course but is also availible to Education majors. It’s basically a preschool located in Bradley Hall (The castle like building on campus). The teachers (Bradley students, like myself) plan the activities for each day and interact with the kids and in the end do testing on the children to see their progress. In my class, I have 3 vivacious boys. One is two years old, the other two are three years old. Let me tell you they are a handful. Apparantly, at that age, “NO” is your favorite word. But it is so much fun to see them progress and develop. Plus, how many other three credit courses let you finger paint and play with play-doh? Alright well I’m off to class! Have a good week!

Hi Everyone! My name is Sarah and I’m new to this whole blog thing but I’m super excited to be here! So I’m now into my 4th week here as a Sophmore and have been sooooo busy. Luckily it’s been the good kind of busy. All of my classes are now starting to prepare for the first exams and projects, which makes me more than a little nervous. It’s a good thing the library is open until 2 a.m. because it looks like that will be my new home for a while! The good news is that along with this, all of the organizations I’m involved in are starting up again also. It’s really awesome how many clubs there are on campus. With over 220 it’s really not hard to find one you’ll love, I know I have. I just joined Photo Society this year which I think is going to be great. Despite all my activities and school work I’ve been lucky enough to have time to recap on the first three seasons of my favorite show–The Office! I’m reallyl pumped because the new season starts Thursday!! A bunch of girls on my love the show as well so I think we’re going to watch it in the common room on our floor together, should be fun! Alright well I should get going, there’s a band concert on the quad I want to check out this afternoon! Have a good weekend!

Hi Everyone! This past week has been quite the rollercoaster. Friday after working all day in the office making schedules for our new tour guides, I got to relax a little bit by going to see a comedian on campus! His name is Eddie Ifft and he was hilarious. He has his own comedy special coming out on Comedy Central so be sure to check that out! But anyway, ACBU, which is the activites council, brought him to campus. It was a free event for all students and was in Lydia’s Lounge, which is a newly renovated Lounge area in one of our residence halls. It was a great turn out! We had so many people there and one of our own STARs (student admissions representatives/ tour guides) Daniel, got to open for Eddie! He was hilarious…Way to go Daniel! Anyway, upon leaving the comedian, we all noticed there was a slight monsoon outside. There was literally 3 inches of standing water on the ground. I got soaked going back to my apartment. It was hilarious though because the whole weekend you would see all kinds of students playing in the puddles…I was one of them…How old are we? Love it. Also yesterday was a first for me. I got to go to my very first college fair! WooHoo Peoria Notre Dame High School! I got to help give a presentation. It was so much fun and I got to meet a lot of really great people! So if any of you are reading this, Thanks for stopping by and thanks for the coffee mug with the candy! Made my night. Well that’s about all for right now. Have a great day, and set up a visit soon! You can even ask for me as a tour guide, because I’m kind-of pretty fantastic. I’m not biased.
Bye Everyone! Send e-mails with questions! Or just to let me know what you’d like to hear about on campus!

Hi Everyone!!! Sorry this has taken so long but I have been busy beyond belief. Classes are back in full swing and the STARS program (the people who give you tours of campus and answer all your Bradley questions) is going great. We just hired about 28 new STARS and let me tell you, they are all rockSTARS. So make sure to come visit and get a tour by one of our fabulous tour guides! Welcome week was awesome as usual. It started out the first night with Block Party, which is located on Fredonia and is one of the biggest get togethers of the year. We also had Taste of Bradley (kind-of like Taste of Chicago). the Activities fair, a Hypnotist, Second City comedy troupe, a job fair, Casino night, and a concert on the quad by The Heyday, Company of Theives and Treaty of Paris….and those are only the events that I went to and can remember, there were many more! It’s so crazy on campus because there are so many new people. It’s always so fun, I love walking across campus and seeing new faces and those that I already know. I’m that girl who says hi to everyone…seriously it’s weird, I’m sorry. Alright well I’m off to my philosophy class. Have a great week and if you have any questions feel free to send me an e-mail!

Hi Everyone! Sorry it’s been a while since I’ve written. This is actually the first summer I’m living here at Bradley. It’s a lot of fun, but I’ve been working a ton! Gotta save up for those fall books…and some new shoes. ANYWAY. Bradley in the summer is pretty laid back. I’ve been working at the admissions office and nanny-ing for a family during the week as well. The tours I’ve been giving have been a lot of fun. It’s so different during the summer because many of the professors will be found wondering the departments so they will answer any questions and a lot of the time take us into a classroom or a lab. So if you are interested in visiting, make sure to set up an appointment to visit campus this summer! Other than that, the Markin Recreation center is coming along quite rapidly. Everyday I walk past something new has been added. I am soooo excited for that to be done. Here’s a link to show what they’re working on! http://admissions.bradley.edu/freshman/studentlife/recreation/
Alright well that’s about it for me! If you have any questions make sure to email me or to feel free to give the office a call at 1 800 447 6460!
Have a good summer!
Hey everyone! I cannot believe the school year is almost over! I only have 12 days left until my finals and everything are over! I’m so ready for summer but I am totally not ready to start studying for finals. Luckily I only have 4 finals over a 3 day period, but they will still be difficult. I also have a couple papers due this week and next week which means I will be taking full advantage of the fact that our library is open until 2 each morning. Bring on the coffee! So this past weekend was pretty fun. My parents came to visit me and take me out to dinner and start to take some of my stuff home so the move out process won’t be too drastic…I have ALOT of clothes and shoes…oops. So I’m pretty pumped for summer and to be done with classes however, I’m really going to miss Bradley. So. I’ve decided to live here this summer! WHOA! I’m really excited. I’ll be living in my appartment and will be working here at the admissions office and hopefully getting that therapy job I talked about last time! WOOHOOO.
Other than that not much is new in the life of Sarah. ACBU (the activities council here at Bradley) just got done deciding what events we will be bringing to campus next year and let me tell you…they’re some good ones! I love being able to help decide what we get to bring to campus, so remember that when you come to Bradley if you want to get involved!
Alright well unfortunatly there was a marathon of Recess on TV the other day and last week was GORGEOUS and I was outside all week so I’m just a little bit behind on my school work. Better get working so I can enjoy the nice weather when it gets here! (Cross your fingers) Any questions don’t hesitate to Email me or to call the admissions office!
Have a good week!
P.s. did anyone watch The Office on thursday?! I’m sooooo in love with that show!!
Hi Everyone! I’m soooo sorry it’s been so long! I’m sure you all missed me!
But Anyway I have been beyond busy these past couple of weeks.
Today for example was non-stop. It all started at 8:30 when I went to register for J-Term!!!! That’s right, I’m going to LONDON! I am so excited. I get to take a Psychology of Women class with the dean of the LAS department!!! Whoa! The best part is there’s only 12 people in my class! We leave January 2nd and come back on the 18th, just in time for classes to start a few days later, after our break is over.
After I regisitered for that, I had to register for Fall classes. I got into all of the classes that I wanted…all except for one which I was waitlisted because there are a limited amount of seats. I really need this class so I went into the Psychology Department office and talked to the secretary. She was soo helpful and was able to get me into the class I needed! It made my day just that much better.
After that I had some classes, worked a little bit (here’s where I tell you to get your housing deposits in!).
After work I had an interview with a family of a mildly autistic boy. They’re looking for students to be trained and to give therapy to him this summer and next year. I recieved this information from the Psychology department and jumped at the opportunity. I have always wanted to do this and the fact that it was emailed to me was phenominal. All kinds of opportunities come through the different departments and I am so glad I might get to be a part of this one! P.s. the interview went well! Cross your fingers!
Anyway now for the title of my blog….SPRING IS FINALLY HERE!
Yep it’s supposed to be 72 here in beautiful Peoria tomorrow! I’m so excited, the only down side to this is that I won’t get anything done tomorrow…So I should probably get going on that now!
Any questions? Shoot me an email!!!
Have a good one, enjoy the weather!!!!

Hi Everyone!
It has been a CRAZY couple of weeks here in the life of Sarah! I’ve been swamped with school work, work work, ACBU stuff (the activities council here at Bradley) and just normal stuff! In fact I think I’ve been a little too busy and it’s catching up with me, I just developed some sort of cold today. If I still have it in a couple of days I’ll probably head over to the Health center! Anyway, I’m sure all of you are busy latly as well, filling out applications and visiting schools, not to mention school work of your own! It’s just a busy time of year I guess.
Personally, I’m really upset it’s still as cold as it is here! I gave a tour today and was basically blown away, and the wind was FREEZING! I apologize to anyone who was on my tour we were almost running building to building to stay out of the cold! Hopefully you all still enjoyed campus!
This past weekend was fun as usual. Friday I went to go visit my best friend since I was 5! It was so much fun! This weekend was also siblings weekend, my brother is 24 and has a full time job…so he didn’t come visit, but it was fun to see all the younger kids on campus! Saturday I helped work the campus carnival. This was an event for siblings weekend, and for just about anyone who wanted to stop by! There were all kinds of games put on by different organizations on campus, and lots of fun prizes!
It’s pretty cool because every weekend there’s something to do on campus, so really there’s no reason to leave (unless you’re visiting your best friend of course)!!
Alright well I guess I should stop procrastination and start studying for my spanish test this week! Yikes!
Have a great week and feel free to email me with any questions!
P.s. I saw Tina’s blog with her pictures from her rooms throughout her years here and as soon as I figure out how to put them up, I’ll put some up too! (my room is really adorable!)

Hi Everyone! I am so sorry it’s been so long since I’ve written! I had some difficulty with the internet at my house over winter break! But I’m back and ready to blog! First of all, I hope everyone’s holiday’s were amazing, I know mine was. I worked just about everyday at a doctors office back home. It was alot of work, but I earned all my money for books this semester! (And some extra for a few new additions to my wardrobe!) It was great though because I just ordered all my books online through the bookstore here and then Sunday when I moved in, I just went in and they were all ready for me! I got all used books so they were quite a bit cheaper which is always great to hear!
Today was the 2nd day of classes this semester and I can already tell I’m going to love my classes. I’m taking Developmental and Social psychology, Spanish, Philosophy and my favorite…Child study center. Child study center is an undergraduate practicum and we basically have 7 children from the ages of 3-5 and we just watch them as they interact and participate in the activities we have planned. I absolutly love it. I’m interested in being a child psychologist so this is right up my alley! Other than that I’ve just been keeping busy with ACBU the activites council here at Bradley. We plan the events that will be coming to campus. It’s alot of work but so much fun. Coming up we have Jack’s Mannequin to perform on the 10th! The best part: Only $5!!!!!! I don’t think it can get much better than that.
Alright well I think that is about it for me! Can you believe it I have homework already!? Oh well better to get started sooner that later! I’ll blog again soon I promise!

Hey Everyone! So, I’m finally starting to feel a bit back to normal after the horrible week I endured, which was me being sick. Last Thursday I started feeling a sore throat coming on and by Saturday I could have sworn I was on my death bed. I had planned on going home for the weekend anyway to start my holiday shopping season with some friends from home, however this cold took over so I was forced to stay in my bed at home and have my mother make me some home-made soup…Almost as good as shopping! I came back to school at the end of the weekend still feeling kind of lousy. I took some cold medicines and went to all of my classes, despite my lack of enthusiasm toward lectures. My teachers all understood and assured me they just wanted me to get better. I decided to call the health center where they were amazing and got me an appointment 10 minutes from when I called. Luckily I didn’t have anything besides a horrible cold. The nurse recommended some medicines for me to get at CVS, which is conveniently right across the street! So anyway enough about that…Next week is Thanksgiving break, consisting of two of my favorite holidays…Thanksgiving and THE BIGGEST SHOPPING DAY OF THE YEAR! Bradley starts the break Tuesday after classes so I will be on my way home around 5 on Tuesday and I couldn’t be more excited! Before then I have some major projects to do so I better get working! Gotta run, have a great week!!!
P.S any questions about anything I write, or what deals I’ll be getting next weekend shopping? Email me!!
