Campus all aglow
Friday, December 7th, 2007
Whether it’s the lights shimmering against the snow at dusk or the media snapping photos and footage of our Cinderella soccer team, the campus seems to be basking in a special glow today. This photo of Bradley Hall was captured by the Web cam, which provides the whole world a snapshot of our campus. As the sun began to set over the first snow of the season, the cam, mounted atop the Hartmann Center, provided this lovely view. You can access the cam any time at explore.bradley.edu/bucam/.
Earlier today, media outlets from all over the area, including ESPN radio, filled the Haussler Hall gym, where a large crowd gathered to wish the team well. With fans standing in the snow to cheer them on, they loaded a bus for Ohio, where they will play Ohio State in the Elite 8 (!) round of the NCAA soccer tournament,

But it’s not the glow of the lights that excites me today. It’s the wonderful feeling that has spread across campus as another athletic team has brought national acclaim to Bradley and stirred the pride not only of everyone on the Hilltop, but of our alumni around the world.
