The beginning of the school year is the best time of year :)
I’m the newest student blogger here at Bradley, so I figured that I should first tell you a little bit about myself so Ion’t seem like so much of a stranger anymore! Well, for starters, my name is Kristin, and I am a sophomore here at Bradley. I am a journalism and Spanish major, and I love it! This year I’m living in Harper next to all my best girl friends, so it’s a lot of fun. After your freshman year, students are not only able to request friends as roommates, but can request to live next to other friends as well. I’m so thankful for that because now I get to see all my best friends so many times a day because they’re literally 2 feet away – it’s fantastic! I open my door and I can see my friend Erika sitting at her desk doing homework.. haha. I love it!
I can’t believe it’s only been a couple weeks since I’ve been back at school; it feels like I’ve been here for so long (in a good way)! I just feel so at home and comfortable, and I’m so happy to be back! Classes are going well; I’m in some pretty interesting ones. I love my philosophy class; it really gets you thinking (obviously, it shouldn’t be called philosophy otherwise!). I finally started taking journalism classes too, which is such a breath of fresh air. I took a few basic communication courses last year, which were still fun, but to have classes that specialize in exactly what field I’m going into is really cool. I’ve been taking Spanish classes since my first semester here, but this year they are getting a bit tougher since I tested into the 300 level right away and just am moving my way on up. But it’s a good challenge – learning a language is hard, but these classes are making me feel so much more prepared and able to speak, understand, read, and just communicate. Well, I have to go to my journalistic writing class (yay), but if you have any questions about anything, feel free to contact me! Talk to you soon.
Kristin
