Giant Bananas!!!!
Yes, that’s correct, I just typed the words giant bananas. I’ll explain.
Harper-Wyckoff Hall Council did a Halloween Hullabaloo last night, and there was a costume contest, along with a pumpkin carving contest and pumpkin pie and all that. So, because I am creative (and cheap) I borrowed by friend’s costume from back home and brought it with me to wear specifically for Halloween…and of course, someone else had the same costume. Which is, by the way, a giant foam banana suit. So that was ironic but still fun.
BIG week ahead for me! I’ve got a test today, a busy Tuesday, and another test Wednesday. AND THEN: 7 AM Thursday morning the Bradley Chorale will embark on our Halloween/All-Saint’s Tour!!!! We’re singing at several high schools up near Chicago (Lincoln Way East and North, I think) and then Unity Temple in Oak Park and then we’re singing in Cincinnati because Dr. Jost was invited to run a workshop or something at this big choral conference. So while we’re in Cincinnati we’re going to see a concert by the choirs at the College Conservatory of Music (CCM) which is an EXCELLENT department. I have friends in the theatre department, which is part of CCM, and they love it, and it’s a very reputable and well-put together program. But I can guarantee without a doubt that the Bradley Chorale is much better
That’s all for now. I want to get back and looks over my notes one more time before I go to class…my test isn’t till later, but better safe than sorry.
Have a happy & safe Halloween!
Trick or Treat! *evil laugh*
