Schizophrenic Weather = Fall In Peoria
Time is literally flying out the window here in the admissions office. Ok, not really literally, but it feels like. Classes are in full swing, as is fall recruitment for the Greek community. I know that my house has been very active in trying to find some really great guys to have join the house. It’s interesting to note the number of guys that go through recruitment just on a whim. I know I made the same decision last year: I told myself I had no idea what Greek life was like, and that it’s worth a shot. Even if you don’t end up joining a house, it’s a great way to meet people. I met some of my best friends going through recruitment last year. So that’s my schpiel on that.
The weather has been weird but it’s finally starting to feel like fall, so that’s about all I can ask for, really.
OH!!!! AWESOME NEWS! I forgot to mention that we (the admissions office) finished hiring our new staff for the 2008-2009 school year! So if you’re planning to come to one of our visit days (which you totally should, they’re incredibly fun and informative) you’ll get to meet almost all of us. Which means that you’ll be the coolest kid in school. No lies.
I’m actually in the office now and have been called away to give an improptu tour- that’s the fun of this job! You NEVER know what you’ll be doing next!
Happy Fall! GO BROWNS!!!!!
