Let’s talk weather….spring, maybe?
It was literally almost 70 degrees here on Sunday. Then, it was 40 degrees on monday. I don’t get it! It was so nice! Why does the weather tempt us like that?!!?
Regardless, Spring is almost here. Student Body Officer elections are on the horizon, housing sign-up for fall is starting, and we here in the admissions office are getting busy! We’ve got a bunch of visit days coming up for admitted seniors, and we’ve still got office times available for other seniors and juniors and anyone else who wants to visit.
Classes are going really well for me, too. I’m taking a biology class for general education credit, and I thought it was going to be kind of hard, but it’s actually just challenging enough to be managable. I’ve actually gotten an A- and a B+ on the two tests we’ve taken, so I’m really excited about that. A couple classes have mid-terms coming up next week, and also next week is when Chorale leaves for our tour! Every spring break the Bradley Chorale heads on a tour, and every 2 years they do a European tour after school lets out. But this spring break we’re doing a 5-day midwest tour. We’re doing a few exchange concerts with high schools in Illinois and Indiana, we’re singing at several different churches, including one in Cinncinnatti! (Yeah home state!) So I’m really excited for that.
I really am still fascinated by how much I’m really getting out of Bradley. I mean, besides all of the academic stuff (which is a lot in its own right), I’ve got a great group of guys that I’ve met on my floor, my RA is really taking a vested interest in all of us on the floor, and all of the people I’ve met through Hall Council, my fraternity, the admissions office: it’s just crazy! But it’s so much fun. I truly can’t imagine being anywhere else for my college experience.
Well that’s that. I actually have to head to class now, so take care! And Go BU!
