Holy Amazing Concert, Batman!

It’s been an interesting week here for me. I’m in Chorale, and Sunday we had a concert with the Community Chorus and with the Bradley Symphony Orchestra. This concert ROCKED! Together we all sang/played Atonin Dvorak’s Stabat Mater. I know that all the groups have been working on the piece for the whole semester. It’s a giant piece of music, 10 different movements in total. And we even had soloists! 3 Bradley alumni and 1 Bradley voice professor sang the solo parts in the music. It was a really fantastic cocnert. We couldn’t all fit in Digeldine (the music center) because there were over 150 singers and about 50 people in the orchestra, so we had to sing downtown at St. Mary’s Cathedral, which is A) absolutely gorgeous and B) rather large, so we all fit in there. Plus it was cool to get the opportunity to go off campus and hear some other singers, too! Speaking on Thanksgiving, tomorrow starts Thanksgiving break, which I can’t WAIT for! Being from Ohio, I don’t get the chance to go home a whole lot, which is both a positive and a negative. Personally, I’m just looking forward to eating myself silly! That’s all for now. Have an awesome Tukery Day!
