What a week!
It’s incredible- I have had another surreal week. I was diagnosed with mono on Founder’s Day, so that really laid me up for Homecoming weekend, which was NO fun. Luckily the wonderful nurses and doctors in the Health Center diagnosed me very quickly and took very good care of me. They even got me a referral to an ear, nose & throat specialist to take an extra look at my throat. One of the coolest things they did was send out an e-mail to my professors to let them know that I was sick and would possibly miss some class. Unfortunately, I did miss a few days of class, but all of my professors were very understanding and flexible with my situation. On a brighter note, yesterday was my first BU Visit Day as an official STAR with the admissions office. There were almost 800 people on campus throughout the day! It was a lot of fun to take families around and show them campus. A lot of families asked really good questions about life around Bradley & Peoria, and they really seemed interested in our school. VERY exciting to think about nex year’s class and all the potential fun they have in store for them here! Still keeping busy! Take care!
